The Escape

Germany, 1945. Detta works as a translator for a Nazi-run labour camp for French workers. One winter morning, Detta passes a group of exhausted British prisoners of war being force-marched westwards. One prisoner catches her eye. The following day a local priest reveals that the prisoner needs her help. Berlin, 1989. After witnessing the fall of the Wall, Miranda, a British photography student, flees through the rubble into the East.
