Constable Thorny Deepbriar can't resist trying his hand at a little detective work...even if he is off-duty. Convalescing in the seaside resort where he was stationed during the war Deepbriar starts looking into a case that the local police are treating as a joke but when a body is discovered on the beach he is forced to wade into the murky waters of his past.
