Private Investigator Sam Falconer grew up in an Oxford College and now she's back to set up a branch of her detective agency. When she's asked to guard a collection of strange museum pieces ranging from shrunken heads to bottled witches she quickly realises that being back in Oxford means confronting her own demons as well as those behind the glass cases. While she confronts the deepest and darkest of childhood memories she must also follow a grisly trail of victims to work out what could be worth such bloodshed - and why does someone seem to think that Sam holds the key?
